Well, since the time of my last writing, things have begun moving up and so I have to take time to celebrate the +, having taking plenty of time discoursing the negative.
I'm very pleased to be once again living in my own place, which I love, and am somehow, once again, on the same intersection I was at when I came to Seattle. Just the opposite corner. (NE instead of SW.)
I work two slacker jobs, which, although can be lightly stressful in times of traffic, etc... are moronically easy, and allow me plenty of play time. Almost like a yuppy. The only thing I need to do if I want the full Hollywood lifestyle, is figure out how to maintain the place without the jobs! HA ha.
On my average work day, I now roll out of bed at the time of my pleasing, have a few hours to muck around on the web (one reason I will be able to provide more interesting variety to readers with time,) and eventually strut down to work-- 5 min's away around 1ish. I get on a shuttle and proceed to drive another shuttle bus in circles for 6 and a half hours, then refuel and strut home where I'm free to muck around on the web and whatever else I please.
Very convenient. I think I've arrived. I've never had it this good; while the planet's never had it this bad. Bummer.
But for this economy, and for not having a college degree, not a bad gig. I'm infinitely grateful and enjoying it all before everything comes tumbling down like the house of cards that it is.
Current reading material is Douglas Coupland's almost latest--Generation A
Coupland always writes in a way that makes you use your noodle, but this seems so timely and clever that it just trumps them all. Highly recommend it.
Well, I'm off to the races! (Slang term for I will now go back to whatever form of personal amusement I was engaged in before writing this down, and find something to eat....not that much in here, but I don't eat much as a vegan bordering macrobiotic, and therefore, can still consider it a Hollywood lifestyle.)
